The pioneer of the first “total look” lamp, American designer Bill Curry designed the Obello lamp in 1971 with a single glass shape. Using the shape of a mushroom, Bill Curry drew inspiration from the atomic age and pop culture that defined Los Angeles in the 1970s.
Half a century later, with the support of his family, GUBI put Curry’s innovative design into production for the first time, now in a portable version. With the same frosted, blown-glass stem and built-in, adjustable LED light source as the original lamp, the rechargeable lamp is easily adaptable for indoor and outdoor use.
