The % ΔRΔBICΔ is more than just a café; it represents a lifestyle built on a commitment to design and aesthetics. The brand collaborates with world-renowned interior designers to create unique and iconic projects.
Their first store in downtown Budapest was designed by the prestigious French architectural studio, Ciguë, with local support from URBA. The interior concept is centered around preserving the raw beauty of the striking brick vault, which, left untouched, gives the space its distinctive character. The seating, developed in collaboration with Zsolnay, evokes the ambiance of Budapest’s traditional thermal baths, as do the counters covered in white Zsolnay tiles, whose glossy surfaces subtly contrast with the raw brick walls. These bespoke elements create an elegant yet inviting atmosphere while paying homage to Hungarian craftsmanship.
For this project, we contributed custom-made lighting fixtures crafted from Chemex coffee makers, designed according to the interior architect’s vision. Our lighting designers created these unique pieces in collaboration with Úri Lux Kft. The fixtures feature a steel extension rod, aluminum components, a nickel-plated clamp, and a machined glass cup, with a “Vibrated” (randomly scratched) surface finish as requested. Complemented by Buster & Punch light sources, they seamlessly integrate into the minimalist ambiance of the space.
