During the renovation of the Hungarian State Opera House, the neo-Renaissance building designed by Miklós Ybl was renewed, preserving its architectural heritage and elegance. The public areas of the building have been carefully restored to their original splendour. The architectural values of the listed interiors have been restored and the acoustics of the auditorium have been improved, while state-of-the-art lighting, sound and stage technology have been installed to ensure the theatre’s functionality. The capacity of the auditorium has been reduced by increasing the floor area of the orchestra pit and by converting the areas in the balcony that did not provide a good view into standing space. The new auditorium seating and redesigned seating areas provide a more comfortable layout for the audience.
The furnishing of the auditorium spaces through the acquisition of the Opera Our Group contributed to the refurbishment by furnishing the Opera’s Grand Buffet, 3rd floor pastry shop and Artists’ Buffet, enhancing the elegance of the spaces and the visitor experience. We are proud to be part of this exceptional and internationally remarkable building.
