Scruton Mammut is more than just a café – it is a value-driven community space inspired by the spirit of British philosopher Sir Roger Scruton. He believed deeply in the power of shared thinking, the appreciation of beauty, and the nurturing of culture to bring people together. These ideals are reflected in the character and atmosphere of this unique location.
The café opens up in two directions through striking glass portals, creating a natural flow and a bright, spacious feel. One of the distinctive interior design elements is the recurring motif of the horse – a nod to Scruton’s lifelong passion for horses.
With its contrasting surfaces, expressive finishes, and thoughtful lighting concept, the space feels both welcoming and distinctive. Located within the Libri bookstore, this café serves as a calm and intimate retreat amid the hustle of the shopping center – a place that invites not just a quick stop, but meaningful time spent.
The atmosphere is complemented by &Tradition’s iconic In Between SK2 chairs. The herringbone-patterned Legno Small parquet flooring by Kerakoll and the matching yellow-toned wall finishes create a harmonious visual flow between horizontal and vertical surfaces, adding warmth and cohesion to the overall interior.
