The building itself, which can be found at 15 Sas Street, was built by Jacob Pollack in 1861 based on plans by Károly Gerster. The most important parts of the protected building weren’t affected by renovation works – the foundations, the marble staircase or the main inner column was left intact, but all the remaining elemenets were completely revamped following the latest design trends. The founder of Societé is Zoltán Varga investor and philantropist. Societé is an entity, a cultural powerhouse at 3500 square meters. It is a central hub for all sorts of artists and a number of cultural societies – fine arts, cuisine, high-end fashion, literature, music and film. This five-storey at 15 Sas Street is a synthesis of social areas and design, arts and cuisine, with the main emphasis being on culture and community. Along with restaurants and bars, a number of function rooms and conference rooms are also available. We are proud that Solinfa took part in the renovation works. Our concept was a harmony of lights and lamps, all of which supports the values and the overall idea of Societé: thinking forward, looking into the future. Most of the furniture, lamps and lights were provided by Solinfo.
