The Spirit Hotel in Sárvár, built in 2008, is a mecca for wellness enthusiasts in Hungary. For the first time in its nearly 15-year history, the hotel, which includes an award-winning spa complex, has embarked on a major renovation project this year, focusing on refreshing the design of the interiors, including the reimagining of the private spaces. While a spacious, indulgent ambience remains key, a new aspect has been the need to offer guests a choice of styles and colours to ensure that everyone can find the right atmosphere.
Two design studios, Insidesign (Szilvia Simkó and Csilla Sallói) and Noam Arts (Norbert Noam Harrer), took the lead in the renewal process with our group.
The Solinfo Group was responsible for the design management of the project, including the design and construction phases, the complete procurement of furniture and lamps for the sample rooms, the review and optimisation of the interior design costs. Our main task is to represent the client’s interests and communicate them to designers, contractors and suppliers. In addition, our job is to optimise costs, find the right suppliers, manage the entire procurement and coordinate the complete construction works, i.e. the overall project from start to finish. What makes the project special is that five different concepts are being implemented within a single complex, creating five very different atmospheres. For example, one is a Zen garden, another an elegant cigar room, and the third focuses on the atmosphere of an Arizona desert. To do this, we tried to play with light – using mostly hidden lighting to create the most immersive atmosphere possible.
