In the heart of Budapest, the MYD2 interior design studio, led by Csaba Finta, transformed a 140 m² residence into a home that mirrors its owner’s lifestyle — a young professional equally drawn to technology and the closeness of nature.
The concept is built around the harmony of thesis and antithesis: raw brick paired with high-tech details, solid blocks contrasted with transparent furniture, cold surfaces balanced with warm tones. Narrow corridors and small rooms were replaced by two expansive zones: a dining area with a fold-down worktable and a living room enriched with AV equipment and Asian-inspired accents.
As Csaba Finta describes it: “This apartment is about the harmony of thesis and antithesis: raw yet refined, technological yet organic.” His aim was to ensure that the contrasts bring balance rather than tension, resulting in a home that truly reflects the personality of its owner.
In the private areas, paper partitions, pebble-like forms, leather, and brick surfaces add texture and depth. We are proud to contributed with furniture and lighting to the realization of this unique downtown apartment interior.
