In our next reference, we present the complete renovation of a neo-Renaissance residential building at 47 Andrássy út, Budapest. The original building A47 was designed by Vilmos Freud. Restored to its former glory, the building has been restored to its former splendour and is now an ornament of the avenue. The A47 has 13 luxury apartments and three commercial units.
A vision of the designer and investor:
A complete renovation while preserving the building’s former character. The vision of the architect and the owner are to maintain the integrity of the building while preserving the original design. A meeting of old and new. Combining a classic look with modernity.
The fully furnished interiors are dominated by a clean design, complemented by natural materials. The luxury homes feature perfectly coordinated furniture and products from renowned design brands such as Roche Bobois, Eichholz, Gubi and Molteni.
The design of the decorative lighting was based on a concept of restraint and discretion. Our consultant aimed to give the building a small frame in the night, which would make it stand out from the rest of the building, indicating that premium quality living spaces are hiding behind the façade. When designing the lighting for the interiors, particular attention was paid to ensuring that the light fittings further enhance the quality of the luxury apartments. Functional technical lamps are complemented by impressive design luminaires to provide the optimum lighting for different spaces.
We are proud that our group was able to contribute to this large-scale, truly impressive project by designing lighting, providing luminaires, design furniture and home styling services.
