The eight-storey Danubius Thermál Hotel, located on the Margaret Island in Budapest, went through several phases of refurbishments. After refurbishment works were completed on hotel rooms, suites and corridors in 2015, the next phase started focusing on the lobby, event rooms and the medical lobby. This modern building creates a natural atmosphere with its huge glass surfaces and balconies. The facade, with its organic and precious materials, is in perfect harmony with the hotel’s surroundings. For emphasizing big natural spaces and open space arrangment, designers went for wood and built-in furniture in the lobby, while applying stone surfaces to floors and pillars. A wide range of furniture and lighting solutions create spaces that are separate in atmosphere, but are nevertheless connected to each other and the island. Grand surfaces and built-in furniture divide interior spaces. Hotel guests can see an interesting side to Budapest in an elegant environment brought on by thermal spas and a green environment.
