MOL Campus, the tallest tower block in the capital and the country, located in South Buda. The environmentally conscious and people-oriented headquarters features technological solutions that are exemplary in terms of design, interior architecture and sustainable operation. The new headquarters embodies innovation and the process of corporate transformation and symbolises the innovative spirit of MOL as the leading energy company in the region.
The MOL Campus building is a unique creation in terms of its physical dimensions and the complexity of the challenge:
the 28-storey building has a total gross floor area of nearly 86,000 square metres, equivalent to the size of 12 football pitches. The building is BREEAM Excellent and LEED Platinum, with a high level of sustainability.
The MOL Campus was one of the largest projects of our group, where we provided project management services, furniture and lighting. We supplied over 4,000 pieces of furniture from more than 20 manufacturers to the headquarters. We provided meeting tables and seating in many of the spaces in the complex. Meeting rooms, conference rooms, library rooms, community spaces, the canteen and even the beauty salon were all supplied by Solinfo Group.
The logistics were a big challenge for our group. The furniture work was carried out in phases according to the pace of the construction, with different schedules for each floor, so it was key in the planning to move and store up to 6 truckloads of products at a time. Another interesting feature was the special electrics used in the conference tables, which required the manufacturer to make cut-outs in the table top in advance, and the installation of the system was also the responsibility of Solinfo staff in collaboration with the local IT team.
We are proud to have contributed to this truly large-scale project by providing furniture and lamps.
