Szeged’s new multifunctional sports arena in the neighbourhood of Felső-Tisza is ready. The new sports hall, which opened in 2021, is an important milestone in the history of Pick Szeged, the new home of the four-time Hungarian men’s handball champions, the largest handball hall in the region and the third largest in Hungary.
The 28,390 square meter facility was built by West Hungária Bau Kft. and designed by Hajós Építész Iroda Kft., the venue has 8,143 seats. The complex also includes an academy for 25-30 children in secondary school dormitories and a conference hall for 80 people, with all the furniture supplied by Solinfo Group. The building will be used not only for sporting events but also for concerts and events. In front of the entrance to the hall is a sculpture by Miklós Gábor Szőke.
We are proud that our team, Solinfo Group, contributed to this impressive project, providing the arena’s furniture in many different areas and technical lighting for the skyboxes.
