The complex religious center is designed to meet the requirements of the modern age, with a conference room for 100 people, a kitchen for 600 people with an attached dining room, studio space and several other smaller rooms with religious functions, and a chapel.
The architects of the building were tasked with creating a complex that would combine a chapel and a religious event center, allowing for a variety of religious and non-religious events.
The specific request of the client to our lighting designers was that the chapel should not have any visible fixtures, and that our specialists should only use indirect lighting to provide the appropriate light.
This request required a lot of negotiation and sizing, as only a small ledge was available to hide the lamps. In the end, an XAL track-mounted luminaire was selected that met the specifications. The chapel also had to be suitable for TV broadcasts, so additional lighting criteria had to be completed, with the pulpit, altar, and lectern having to be specially highlighted for TV broadcasts. This was an extra challenge for our lighting designers during the project.
We are proud to have contributed to the creation of the Religious Center by designing the lighting and providing technical and design lighting.
