The 1930s mansion at Németvölgyi Street 15 has been long forgotten, standing in stark contrast next to the fully refurbished building of Villa Bagatelle, until owners of Villa Bagatelle and Bagatellini bakery Ágnes and Albrecht Wirtz bought it and made it the newest member of the franchise. The mansion has been since rebuilt and reopened as a home hotel. The main concept was to create a home-like interior where you can move in for a shorter or extended period of time.
Benczúr-Weichinger architect studio worked closely with interior designer Edit Móder on tthe project. Conserving the original building wasn’t an aspect in the planning process. Thus, interiors were completely reshaped, resulting in six rooms on both the ground floor and the first floor. Old and new elements are in a neat balance in the whole building. One of the main focus of the interior design process was to furnish space with timeless and contemporary decor items, furniture and accessories.
When choosing the right lights and designing the appropriate lighting system for this project, we followed the owners wish to create a building that is grand but isn’t showy. We at Solinfo are proud to have contributed to the elegance and harmony of the mansion with lights designed by Solinfo Group and Lighting Embassy.
