So much has been erased by the pandemic: personal connections, important occasions, and meetings. One such event was the arrival of Roche Bobois management in Hungary in 2020. But in December, the flagship store on Wesselényi Street could finally be filled with the greats of the international design world. Sacha Lakic, who is also responsible for the Bubble sofas, was invited to the event.

New showroom layouts, Roche Bobois novelties, a roundtable discussion, and a Christmas celebration: that’s how we would sum up the showroom visit of Bubble sofa designer Sacha Lakic and the whole Roche Bobois team on 8 December.

The full-day program started with a press breakfast, where we presented the rearranged showroom and this year’s new products.
Later, after the interviews, a roundtable discussion followed, where Eszter Áron, Norbert “Noam” Harrer, Áron Láncos, Péter Molnár, Márton Lengyel and Krisztián Szetei had the chance to talk to Sacha Lakic, Guillaume Demulier and Jennifer Barre (International Franchise Director) about their design philosophy and what inspires them in their everyday lives.
This was followed by a large-scale Roche Bobois event where we celebrated the Christmas season and closed the year together with our designers, our featured customers, and the Roche Bobois team.

During the event, the spotlight was once again on the Bubble collection, Sacha Lakic’s masterpiece that debuted in 2014, in which he combined innovation, function, and emotion. We also celebrated the success of the Budapest showroom with Sacha Lakic, the Serbian-born French designer who created sensational sofas that respond to handmade natural mineral forms.
