Some of the brands represented by Solinfo also offer wonderful outdoor furniture and solutions. It’s no easy task calling attention to just a few of the pieces as there are so many items to fall in love with even from a single manufacturer. These are few of our picks of the most recent and unmissable design wonders.
Life is even more enjoyable in the garden or on the terrace
GANDIABLASCO’s latest for this year is the “SALER TEAK” collection, a declaration of praise for the natural and organic beauty of wood. The sun, the sea, the sand, the soft breeze, from dawn till dusk.
The Mediterranean with its pleasant temperature, natural resources and intense colours make up the quintessence of all GANDIABLASCO collections.
The brand aims to make life outdoors even more enjoyable, if that’s possible. SALER TEAK was designed by the brand’s president and creative director, José A. Gandía-Blasco. It perfectly captures that incomparable feeling, no wonder as José himself lives on the Mediterranean. Elegant and timeless.
The collection’s clean silhouette is inspired by classic simplicity. The first SALER collection was created almost a decade ago and is now considered one of the brand’s classics. Thanks to the use of teak, the SALER pieces now have an added quality. Teak is a perfect complement to the furniture’s other component, aluminium, which is available in a wide range of colours from white thorough several shades of grey to even beige or bronze. The collection includes a table, loungers, a modular sofa, a low table, a side table, benches and chairs. It serves as the perfect jewel of any terrace or garden.
Kettal’s latest offering is the MOLO outdoor modular sofa system
The MOLO collection designed by Rodolfo Dordoni is the most minimalistic modular sofa collection currently available. Its pieces have a rectangular design, which means each module can be taken apart and re-organised, creating new uses and configurations adapted to the given space. Aesthetically minimalistic with intentionally oversized pieces. The designer purposefully avoided unnecessary decorative elements in order to give centre stage to the various combinations of fabric, colours and carefully selected details.
The choice of name for the collection is no coincidence. MOLO, or pier in English. A structure built on the shores of an ocean, sea, lake or river which extends from the land out over the water. A mooring place for boats. A rest between trips and a refuge from the waves. MOLO by Kettal offers tranquillity, a place of relaxation and reconnection.
Manufactured in aluminium, teak, concrete and terrain fabrics, the collection is composed of sofas, deck chairs and a centre table.
In 2019, Tribù came out with a new outdoor lighting collection. Meet the Monsieur Tricot family.
The Monsieur Tricot collection was dreamt up by Belgian designer Ilia Eckardt. Its hanging and standing lamps merge traditional techniques with modern technology.
Ilia Eckardt grew up immersed in the Belgian fashion scene, his mother Hilde Frunt working for Belgian fashion designers like Raf Simons, Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester and Walter Van Beirendonck. Fascinated by their world, Ilia worked on several projects that involved knitting, and experimented with innovative knitting techniques and materials.
Monsieur Tricot is the first knitted weatherproof lighting collection in the world. Its globe and drop lights give a warm glow and cast beautiful shadows. The different shapes, dimensions, knitting patterns and colours are the perfect complement to Tribù’s furniture. Tribù’s R&D department has made the Monsieur Tricot lamps ready for the modern technology era. Thanks to a user-friendly mobile app, the battery-functioning lamps can be easily operated, with timer functions included.
