In addition to his design projects, Ronan Bouroullec is also an artist, producing intricate drawings in which he hand-draws intuitive sequences of lines with a Japanese felt tip brush. The contours of Courier can be read as an expression of this artistic approach, but also testify to Bouroullec's flair for form and composition as well as his technical expertise. The desk effortlessly combines two high-quality materials, wood and aluminium, to create a distinctive yet subtle design.

Viewed from the side, the desk's silhouette recalls a serif letter design – hence the name Courier, which is one of the best-known serif typefaces.

This masterpiece is made of natural oak with an oiled surface, while the base is made of cast aluminum with a chalk powder coating.
It is also available with a dark oak lacquered surface and two other base colors: dark burgundy powder coated and deep black powder coated.
